What is self-directed learning?
Students are not spoon-fed information through traditional teaching methods such as lectures and classes. They need to find it out for themselves.
Twice a week the tutor will post a clinically rich case scenario into the academic forum. Students will read this, do their research, post a response and then discuss with classmates and the tutor on the forum.
They then fill in a reflective journal which helps them implement this learning into their day to day life.
All modules are 6 weeks long and there is an end of module assessment/exam.
